Common mistakes

On New Phyrexia, the usual miss is buying sealed EV stories instead of the actual chase list. Money still clusters around New Phyrexia / Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite; treating the whole list like one price tier is how people overpay bulk. Also: New Phyrexia (2011, Modern-era paper) gets mixed into lots that are not the same product — match set code nph before the art.

What to check first

First: whether the card is standard-legal chase or eternal only. On New Phyrexia / Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, do condition under light before grade talk. Then use the New Phyrexia checklist for gaps — sealed is not a plan for the expensive row.
