Never guess at a price again
Whether you're browsing a display case at a local game store, looking through a friend's binder, or considering a staple like Ragavan or Sheoldred, a scan beats memory. Tappr identifies the printing and shows a Scryfall market estimate: TCGplayer market price (not low, mid, or high) and Cardmarket, synced about every 24 hours. Scryfall's own API docs say prices update once per day, so scanning again an hour later does not fetch a newer number. The figure is not a listing and not an in-stock offer.
The scan is fast. The price is a daily estimate.
Point the camera at the card and Tappr names the printing without a typed search. That identification is the quick part. The number beside it is the estimate Tappr cached from Scryfall, refreshed about every 24 hours. It is useful at a counter because you are not guessing, and it is not a tick-by-tick quote. Check a marketplace listing before you buy or sell.
Useful for buying, selling, and everything in between
Sellers use the estimate to set an asking price, traders use it to judge an offer, and collectors use it to see what a card they already own last synced at. Because the figure moves when Scryfall’s daily sync moves — not because someone is watching the bid — it stays a reference on either side of the table. It is not a promise of the price you will be paid.

Common questions
01 How often does the Tappr price update?
Scryfall says it updates prices once per day, and that fetching card data more often than every 24 hours will not yield new prices. Tappr shows that Scryfall market estimate, synced about every 24 hours: TCGplayer market price (not low, mid, or high) and Cardmarket. It is not a live listing. The guide How to check MTG card prices on this site walks through the same distinction.
02 How accurate is the pricing Tappr shows?
It is a Scryfall market estimate from TCGplayer market price and Cardmarket, synced about every 24 hours. That is a reference, not the cheapest current listing, not a store buylist, and not a price Tappr is offering to pay.
03 Can I check prices without an internet connection?
Card identification can work offline. The market estimate needs a data connection, and a connection does not make the number newer than today’s Scryfall sync.
04 Does Tappr show different prices for foil versions?
Yes — foil and nonfoil estimates are shown separately, since they typically differ. Both are still the 24-hour Scryfall sync, not live listings.
05 Is this useful for a single quick check, or only for scanning a whole collection?
Both. One card or a whole binder uses the same estimate. Scanning a stack does not refresh prices faster than about every 24 hours.
