you expect every rare in the set to hold similar resale

Common mistakes

On Rivals Quick Start Set, the usual miss is assuming every mythic in a masters set holds sealed-product heat. Money still clusters around Rivals Quick Start Set; treating the whole list like one price tier is how people overpay bulk. Also: Rivals Quick Start Set (1996, supplemental / masters) gets mixed into lots that are not the same product — match set code rqs before the art.

What to check first

First: foil premium vs nonfoil. On Rivals Quick Start Set, do condition under light before grade talk. Then use the Rivals Quick Start Set checklist for gaps — sealed is not a plan for the expensive row.
