Lathril Elves: The Forest Drains You Dry
Flood the board with elves, then drain the table for lethal.

Strategy
Lathril, Blade of the Elves drains an opponent for one life for every elf that taps to attack or is tapped for mana, so a wide board of cheap mana elves becomes a direct finisher on top of its usual ramp duties. Elvish Archdruid and Priest of Titania multiply the mana those elves produce, Elvish Reclaimer finds any missing piece, and Craterhoof Behemoth or Beast Whisperer close the game outright once the board is wide enough.
Strengths
- ✓ Mana elves double as a win condition through Lathril's drain
- ✓ Extremely fast mana acceleration once the board is established
- ✓ Craterhoof Behemoth provides a hard-to-answer finisher
Weaknesses
- ✗ Board wipes remove both the ramp and the win condition at once
- ✗ Vulnerable to counterspells and single-target removal on Lathril
- ✗ Needs several elves in play before the drain becomes relevant

Common questions
01 How does Lathril turn elves into damage?
Her ability triggers whenever an elf you control taps, whether for an attack or simply to produce mana, so even a defensive turn spent ramping still chips away at every opponent's life total.
02 How much mana can this deck produce?
A well-developed board of elves can produce far more mana than the number of lands in play would suggest, especially once Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid are both online.
