Strategy
The Ur-Dragon draws a card for every other dragon that attacks alongside it, turning a wide dragon board into a card advantage engine on top of a huge amount of raw power. Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm copies every dragon spell cast afterward, effectively doubling the deck's threats, while Dragon Tempest grants haste and extra damage to the whole tribe. The deck leans on a five-color manabase to fit as many powerful dragons as possible.
Strengths
- ✓ Draws extra cards just by attacking with the team
- ✓ Miirym can double an entire dragon-heavy hand
- ✓ Individually powerful creatures make every draw relevant
Weaknesses
- ✗ Five-color manabase is greedy and can produce awkward hands
- ✗ Vulnerable to board wipes given the deck's reliance on big creatures
- ✗ Slower to set up than smaller, cheaper tribal decks

Common questions
01 Why run five colors instead of fewer?
Dragons are spread across every color in Magic, so a five-color manabase lets the deck include far more powerful individual dragons than a two- or three-color build could.
02 What is the deck's biggest weakness?
The five-color manabase can produce clunky hands, and because most of the threats are large and expensive, a well-timed board wipe can set the deck back significantly.
