Pricing you can trust
Why players check prices with Tappr
Prices update in real time
Magic prices move with bans, reprints, and new decks. Tappr pulls live pricing so you never trust a stale price guide or last week’s sold listings.
Scan instead of searching
Point your camera at a card to see its price instantly — no typing card names, set codes, or scrolling search results for the right printing.
See your whole collection’s value
Every scanned card feeds a running portfolio total. Watch your collection value shift as reprints and format shakeups move the market.
How Magic card pricing works in Tappr
Tappr reads live pricing sourced from the major marketplaces — TCGplayer for USD and Cardmarket for EUR — and matches your scan to the exact printing and finish. A foil Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and its nonfoil version are priced separately, as are old-border and reprint versions, so you see what the card is actually selling for.
Know your cards before you trade
Walking into a trade blind is how value slips away. Scan any card at a shop, prerelease, or Commander night and see its current market price on the spot. Compare an offer against real market value in seconds instead of trusting a binder guess.
Track price changes over time
Card values swing with Standard rotation, ban announcements, and Commander demand — a card can double after one deck goes viral. Tappr tracks the value of your collection over time so you can spot trends and decide when to sell or hold.
Common questions
01 Where does Tappr get its pricing data?
Tappr uses live market prices sourced from TCGplayer and Cardmarket via Scryfall, reflecting current listings and recent sales so you see what cards are really selling for.
02 Can I check prices for old or Reserved List cards?
Yes. Tappr covers every set from 1993 Alpha onward, including Reserved List staples like the Power Nine and dual lands. Vintage cards such as Black Lotus and Mox Sapphire are all supported.
03 Does the price account for foil and condition?
Tappr prices foil and nonfoil separately and shows values across available conditions, so you can price a Near Mint copy differently from a Played one.
04 Can I see the total value of my collection?
Yes. As you scan cards in, Tappr calculates and displays your total estimated market value, updating automatically as prices change.
