Lookalikes & traps
Promo stamps and prerelease marks sit beside Secrets of Strixhaven Promos art. Confirm the promo set code rather than assuming booster-pack PSOS. Also watch foil vs nonfoil: sheen does not change which set Secrets of Strixhaven Promos is.
Confirm after the icon
Bottom information line should show collector number + set code PSOS (and usually a C/U/R/M rarity letter). On Secrets / Strixhaven Promos, mismatch between listing title and PSOS is the usual bait-and-switch.
How to identify Secrets of Strixhaven Promos cards
- 1
Start with the Secrets of Strixhaven Promos glyph silhouette; art style alone will not separate this promo product from guests and remasters.
- 2
Read rarity from symbol color on Secrets of Strixhaven Promos: black common, silver uncommon, gold rare, orange mythic — foil sheen does not change it.
- 3
Confirm set code PSOS and the collector number on the information line under the text box.
- 4
Finish with a Tappr scan when Secrets / Strixhaven Promos appears under multiple set codes in the same lot.
Rarity by symbol color
Special product (promo): rarity color may still follow modern conventions when a symbol is present, but SKU/treatment beats draft-rarity folklore. Verify PSOS and the collector number before comparing to a main-set printing of Secrets.
Legend shows the modern post-Exodus palette. Pre-Exodus sets and special rarities (for example Time Spiral purple timeshifted) follow the rarity reading above — not this swatch row alone.
