Lookalikes & traps
Alchemy / digital-only lines must not be priced as paper Shadows / Innistrad Remastered. If there is no paper SIR card, stop at identification — there is no TCGplayer comps path. Also watch foil vs nonfoil: sheen does not change which set Shadows over Innistrad Remastered is.
Confirm after the icon
Confirm whether SIR exists on paper. If the card is digital-only, identification stops there — Tappr will not invent a paper market row.
How to identify Shadows over Innistrad Remastered cards
- 1
Start with the Shadows over Innistrad Remastered glyph silhouette; art style alone will not separate this masters product from guests and remasters.
- 2
Use symbol color for draft rarity on SIR, then treat showcase/borderless as a separate finish check.
- 3
Confirm set code SIR and the collector number on the information line under the text box.
- 4
Finish with a Tappr scan when Shadows / Innistrad Remastered appears under multiple set codes in the same lot.
Rarity by symbol color
Digital / Arena-adjacent product (SIR): do not assume paper rarity-color habits map to a sellable paper printing. Confirm whether a paper card with this set code even exists before reading black/silver/gold/orange as a buylist signal.
Legend shows the modern post-Exodus palette. Pre-Exodus sets and special rarities (for example Time Spiral purple timeshifted) follow the rarity reading above — not this swatch row alone.
